What does peekr actually measure?
Whether AI engines name your brand when someone asks a question in your category, where in the answer you appear, which competitors get named instead, and which sources the answer cites. Every number comes from an answer we kept, so you can open the original.
Which AI engines do you check?
ChatGPT · Gemini today. We only list engines we actually query — if an engine has no key configured, it is reported as skipped rather than quietly dropped.
Do I need an account to try it?
No. One free snapshot per site, no account and no card. We keep only the fact that the site used its free run — not the result.
Why does the same question get a different answer each time?
Because generative engines are not deterministic. That is why one snapshot cannot be called a measurement: continuous tracking asks each question several times per engine and keeps every raw answer.
What is a “question (prompt)”?
It is the sentence a real person would type into an AI — not a keyword. “What's a good tool for pulling highlights out of long videos?” is a question; “video editing tool” is a keyword. peekr tracks questions, because that is how people talk to AI.
Can I use the interface in one language and track questions in another?
Yes. The interface language and the language your questions are measured in are separate settings. An English interface can track Korean questions.
Do you crawl my website?
No. We fetch the one page you submit, plus robots.txt, llms.txt and sitemap.xml at their fixed paths on the same origin. We do not follow links from the page, and we count sitemap entries without opening them.
Will peekr get my brand into AI answers?
peekr measures and diagnoses; it does not place you anywhere. Published techniques for influencing AI answers mostly failed to replicate under peer review, so we report what we observed and the mechanism behind it, and stop there.
What do you keep?
For tracked brands: the raw answers and their timestamps, because a number you cannot open is not evidence. For the free snapshot: nothing but the fact that the site used its free run. Your email address only if you type it in.
